The Spits

In an era that relies so heavily on quick-hit bands, there are very few things that are truly part of the subculture and not just the passing zeitgeist du jour.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds

For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group’s distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by a diversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as “Tuff Enuff” and “Wrap It Up”. Co-founder Kim Wilson, the sole original member, still spearheads the group as it evolves into its newest incarnation. And this year his solo album “Take Me Back” is nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.

Gravity, THE ELOVATERS have quickly become a household name for lovers of Sublime, Jack Johnson,
Slightly Stoopid, G. Love, Stick Figure, The Movement, and more. Their music has been featured on CBS’
Hawaii Five-O and their song “Boston” was played during the World Series Parade when the Boston Red
Sox won in 2018. Their 2020 followup EP Double Vision was voted EP of the year by Reggae 360, and
programmed into heavy rotation on SiriusXM’s “No Shoes Radio,” “Margaritaville,” and “The Spectrum.”

Arkansauce

Bell's Eccentric Cafe 355 E Kalamazoo Ave, Kalamazoo, MI

An Arkansauce show is riddled with improvisational guitar, banjo, and mandolin leads, paired with powerful harmonies and heart-felt songwriting, all held together by deep foot-stompin' bass grooves. There’s an undeniably intimate connection between the band and their fans that's contagious and leaves everyone in front of, and on the stage wanting more. Arkansauce holds their head high, as they look forward to enjoying everything life and music has in store for them and their fans.

Magic City Hippies w/ Okey Dokey

Bell's Eccentric Cafe 355 E Kalamazoo Ave, Kalamazoo, MI

Shades on and shirts unbuttoned, Magic City Hippies generate the kind of heat that could've powered a high seas yacht party in the seventies or shake a Coachella stage next summer. If the trio -- Robby Hunter, Pat Howard, and John Coughlin -- stepped off the screen from some long-lost Quentin Tarantino flick in slow-motion (instruments in hand), nobody would question it.
