This is not only one of the best brews I've ever made, it is one of the best I've ever drank. I usually add a pound of honey about 10 min before the end of the boil which drove my st to 84, fg of 16, which translates to 8.64% abv. Not as much hoppy bite as an IPA

My brother made this beer and he told me it was an IPA, which is my favorite type of ale. It was so tasty, I decided I was going to start brewing beer and this would be my first kit.
I took a road trip out to Bells and bought this kit along with several others. I had a little difficulty in finding this kit because I was looking for "India Pale Ale." It turns out "Imperial Pale Ale" is now my new favorite, at least Brewers Best incarnation of IPA. Another family member is a certified beer judge and he gave it high praises after tasting my first batch.
This beer kit is easy to make even for a newbie like me. I've had this IPA several times by other people and it has been good regardless of who made it.
I highly recommend this kit!
