This strain allows for fast fermentation, very high attenuation, high alcohol content (up to 11 % v/v) with a subtle aroma and a well-balanced profile.

Recommended fermentation temperature: 12-25°C (53.6-77°F) ideally 15-20°C (59-68°F)

    I used this yeast the first time as part of a competition at the end of last year, and I could not be happier. Pitched one pack in an 8% dubbel, and it tore through it in a week. Restrained esters and phenols, just a mild Belgian character, and it attenuates super dry, so it is great if you are using a lot of crystal malts.

    I tried this yeast recently in a all-grain Duvel clone. I got some odd plastic notes in the taste. I used the same recipe with WLP570 and it turned out great, but I wasn't crazy about the flavor of the Abbaye batch. I started each batch out
    using the same temperature range (pitched around 65, rose over time to maybe 70 or 72...)

    I have had decent luck with S-33 and T-58, so I don't have any problem with Fermentis products, but I just wasn't crazy about Abbaye. I was hoping this
    would be a good warm-weather alternative, but I'll probably stick with liquid belgian yeasts.
