Bell’s grown hops win second place at 2024 Chinook Cup – congrats to our Land Steward Team!
We have some exciting news to share: Bonnie and our Land Steward team won second place at the 2024 Chinook Cup for Chinook hops grown at our brewery!
“It is such a huge compliment to place in this competition,” said Bonnie. “The Land Steward team works really hard out in our hopyard throughout the year, and we get a lot of help from other folks from the brewery and General Store. We also could not be successful without the support of our Innovation brew team.”
Coworker Spotlight: Get To Know Bonnie
The awards were given out earlier this month at the Michigan Great Beer State Conference and Trade Show in Kalamazoo.
For the past decade years, our land stewards have grown hops at the 2.5 acre hop yard next to our brewery. The hops, which include Chinook and Cascade hop varietals, are used for our annual harvest ale, Side Yard. We’re one of the few breweries that has an estate hop yard.
Cheer to Bonnie and the whole team on their win!
